Noélie is a professional primary school teacher as well as a language teacher.
She has lots of experience as she has been teaching children on-line and off-line for 10 years in many different countries
( such as England, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and South Korea)
- We have created our own kid’s curriculum based on the CECRL (Cadre européen commun de référence pour les langues).
- During the first meeting, Noélie will do a level check to adapt the curriculum to your child’s needs to improve their fluency in French.
- Our teaching method is based on speaking, listening and reading .
- Noélie will use games, flaschards and videos to make sure the class is interactive and enjoyable for all ages.
We do not use books and we don’t administer homework because we want children to experience French as an fun and interactive language outside of the typical school program.

Frequently asked questions
Can we use an Ipad for the lesson ?
Of course, you can use any device ( tablet, smartphone, computer, etc..) as long as the camera can be turned on and the sound is working well.
What will happen if my child is late to class ?
Without any message or previous warning of being late,the teacher will wait for 15min before considering the lesson as completed.
My child is sick or something unexpected came up, can I cancel the class last minute ?
As per our Chocolatine French Academy's policy, we understand that life is unpredictable : you are allowed to reschedule the lesson until 24h before the lesson starts.
However, after that time, we will have to consider the class as complete even if you can't make it.
This rule exists to be fair to the teacher and to other students that could have taken this slot.
How can we help our child ?
During the class, the child usually feels less pressure without theirs parents being in the room.
Feel free to stay in a room close to the lesson if needed.
You can help them by creating a quiet environement for the lesson and provide them with a notebook and pen.
Can I put my 2 children in the same class ?
In Chocolatine French Academy , we believe that every child is unique !
We allow our student to work at their own pace and we cater for all learning needs ( visual, listening,writting ).
Therefore for a more individual interactive class, we only allow 1 child per lesson.
How long should be the lesson for my child ?
We recommend 1h for teenagers and 30mn for smaller children, twice a week.
However, every child is different and, as you know, children have much shorter "attention spans" than adults so please consider it when booking lessons.
